The women of HCF have been invited to attend Simeon Trust's Women's Workshop on Biblical Exposition., hosted at Capitol Hill Baptist Church. If you may possibly be interested or desire additional information contact Janylyn Anthony. The 2 links directly above provide additional conference information and the schedule.
The Workshop brochure explains: The Worshops on Biblical Exposition aim to recover the centrality of God's Word, taught expositionally, to the benefit of the life and health of the church in our generation. In order for this kind of teaching to take place , the Bible must be properly understood and rightly handled. This workshop will equip you through Principles of Exposition (instructional talks on how to better handle biblical texts), Expositions (engaging times of teaching), and Small Group Practice (times when you will share and receive feedback on two passages you will prepare in advance). Each of these sessions is carefully designed to be inter-related for the greatest value in improving your work.
Great for personal or family Advent devotions, this wonderful reading plan provided by Christianity.com [Alex Crain, editor] helps focus our hearts on the Lord Jesus Christ during the Christmas season. The Christmas Bible Reading Plan has 25 days of New Testament readings highlighting the birth of Jesus and the purpose for His coming. Related Old Testament passages are also featured. [The site also provides the option to select various Bible translations for the readings, as well as print the devotion. . . perhaps to pass along to someone without internet access.]
